Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born July 23 1970 was an American actress. Cordelia Chase played the character of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural series (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She was also in Charmed (2004) and Kendall Casablanca's character in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was featured in The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] and was the daughter of Christine Carpenter, a bird sanctuary worker and Don Carpenter, a salesman. She is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also part of a group of dancers and singers which was a part of Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family moved to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) when Carpenter was just 15 years old. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter has traveled throughout Europe after graduating. After returning to San Diego, she worked as a store clerk for video as well as an aerobics teacher and as a property manager. She cheered on the San Diego Chargers football club in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male acquaintances were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex- San Diego police officer and serial rapist who attempted to subdue them with a gun. During the battle, both her friends and Hubbard were killed, forcing him to flee the scene; both friends were able to escape the assault. Hubbard was detained after being found guilty and sentenced 56-years in prison for a series of rapes. Carpenter took Hubbard his flashlight from the police station to the beach. Hubbard had left it at the scene. The flashlight turned out to be an important evidence piece against Hubbard.
