Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actress from the United States. Her performances on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most well-known. She was also the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played an unimportant role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18 1979. She grew-up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. When she was at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville and then at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began to act in a variety of college, amateur professional, and amateur theatre productions. Swallow obtained a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She pursued her studies to earn an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She appeared in two world premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's production of Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. [citation needed] In 2010 she was awarded the Falstaff Award as best female performer for her role in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed with Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theater Club. The show is about their hilarious mishaps as they confront different life situations.
