Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland was born in New York City to actors Melissa D. Canaday and Edward James Hyland. When she was just four years old she began her career in the industry by doing voice overs as well as commercial work. The first film she made was Private Parts (1997). Then she moved to The Object of My Affection (1998) and later spent time on Another World (1964) as "Rain Wolfe" as a child found in the park and fostered by Josie and Gary. Sarah would continue to work alongside Amy Carlson ("Josie") many times: Falcone (2000) and Law & Order (1990) and Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was selected as one of the young "Audrey Hepburns" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000) in the same year that she was also cast in the role of "Molly" in ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999) starring Kathy Bates, Audra McDonald, Alan Cumming, Victor Garber and Kristin Chenoweth. Today, Sarah portrays "Haley Dunphy", the eldest Dunphy child. Modern Family (2009) won many awards, the most notable being the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
