Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actor from Canada. She was the Teletoon child's comedy series Majority Rules' Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010. Then she starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic science fiction series Revolution between 2012 and 2014, for which she was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. Annika Johnson was her role on the A&E television show Bates Motel. Since the year 2017, Spiridakos is a regular on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. in the role of Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owner George Spiridakos, and George Spiridakos, both of whom were born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. The family moved to Skala in Greece situated south of Sparta just after her birth. In 1992, they returned to Canada. Spiridakos is deeply connected to her Greek family and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos started acting in junior high school. Later, she studied at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated Oak Park High School. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting, and within a few weeks, she was offered her first TV role that was a tiny part on Supernatural. Spiridakos continued to work on television, with walk-on roles on Bionic Woman, The L Word, Hellcats, and Psych. Spiridakos was in the TV film Goblin and also in the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos was also a part of Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her debut starring role in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl in Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! Her feature film debut came in 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she played alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos played Sammi's character on Rags (2012), the Nickelodeon original film. The role of Charlotte Matheson as a survivalist living in a dystopian civilisation, was her leading role on the NBC TV show Revolution. While attending her first pilot season, she auditioned for this role. Spiridakos was the pilot's camera in Atlanta. The first season was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. For her performance on the pilot she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television. She lost out to Fringe's Anna Torv. The second season was filming in Austin, Texas.
