Markie Post

Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek, California and began her career with films and TV shows, including Card Sharks (1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and later on produce such projects as Double Dare (1976) and was a guest on TV shows like 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000). Perhaps her greatest TV role was as "Christine Sullivan" on Night Court (1984). From 1984 to 1992 she was a part of 156 shows. Daughter of Marylee (Armstrong) Post, poet, and famous nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 - April 7 in 2015). With her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). She was born in Palo alto, California and grew up close to Walnut Creek in California. The school she attended was Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was an athlete. Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon awarded her a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was an act in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The body was cremated and the ashes returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post passed away on 7 August 2021, three months from what would be her 71st birthday, which was on November 4. She died on the 27th day following Charles Robinson, her Night Court (1984), co-star, passed away on July 11 2021. Although the two shows were totally unrelated, Night Court (1984) ended in 1992 with her character Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire (1992) was released in the same year, with Post as a new character Georgie, who was also a part of Washington DC (and later moving to a town that was smaller).
