Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born on 27 August 1976 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. She is the middle child. She has an older sister, Natasha Chalke and one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah's acting debut came in City Boy (1992), an adaptation of a film for television. In 1993, shortly after her first film, she was a candidate for the role of "Becky" on the TV show Roseanne (1988). The show was searching for a replacement after Alicia Goranson quit the show to attend college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995, when she was filming the season 1994-1995 of Roseanne (1988). Also, in 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film Ernest Goes to School (1994) together with Jim Varney. In 1996, Sarah played in two movies: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996) in which she played a cheerleader who was named Krista Wilson. Sarah was asked to be a part on a television show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) in the year following Roseanne (1988). Based on the show Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998) The show was also based. She took over the role of Becky on Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She said she wanted to take a break from acting and attend college. [2001] (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sibling in the show Roseanne (1988), although she is much younger in real life. She was a part of the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony, in which she received an award for best single of the year. (September, 1999) Appeared on local Vancouver theatre productions aged 8 years old. She is fluent in French and German. She works at a hospice facility for terminally ill children and works with the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. In her spare time, Chalke prefers cooking with her friends (especially Thai and sushi), playing the guitar as well as hiking, skiing (she's an instructor) as well as kayaking, snowboarding and reading. Her father is a lawyer, as are both parents are mediators who also run a child adoption agency. She accompanied her parents to China two years ago to assist in coordinating the adoptions of numerous orphans.
